Junior Interior Designer

Cerys joined Austin-Smith:Lord in July 2026 after graduating from the University of South Wales (USW) with First Class Honours in Interior Design. During her final year, she collaborated with the Wales Millennium Centre to develop an award-winning concept for a new café space, which is now progressing into development.

As part of our interiors team, Cerys contributes to projects across the practice’s four UK studios, supporting every stage of the design process from concept creation and planning through to technical development and project delivery.

Cerys supports the team by researching precedent studies, preparing client presentations and RIBA stage documentation, producing technical drawings and finish details, developing FF&E schedules, refining bespoke design elements, and curating material palettes that help bring each project’s vision to life.
