We understand the financial pressures, programme constraints and specific operational needs that come with education projects. By listening carefully and working collaboratively from the outset, we shape buildings and spaces that are functional, accessible and sustainable – but also joyful, uplifting and rooted in the life of their community.

Our experience includes some of the UK’s most recognised low-carbon education buildings. The teaching block for South Lanarkshire College was the first project in the UK to achieve BREEAM Outstanding at design stage under the 2014 standards, and Ffwrnes Primary School was the first in Wales to reach the same benchmark. Our work also delivers measurable outcomes: at Coleg y Cymoedd, a new college building enabled the client to grow enrolment from 240 to 417 in just eight months, with 97% retention.

More recently, we have supported campus consolidation, framework development and strategic implementation for the colleges of Pembroke and Liverpool, and for universities including Teesside, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Strathclyde and UWE.
