A Warm Welcome To Maura Bisset, Senior Architect
We are pleased to announce the arrival of Maura Bisset to our team as a Senior Architect. With extensive expertise in conservation and specialist skills in heritage preservation, we are confident Maura will be a valuable addition to our team.
Before joining Austin-Smith:Lord, Maura played integral roles at architectural firms such as Benjamin Tindall Architects (BTA) and John Thompson and Partners. Her projects include the extensive alteration and restoration of an estate in Kingussie, and overseeing the design and construction of two new wings to the B Listed Bonnington House in Ratho.
With her dedication to conservation and sustainable design principles, Maura will be working closely with Austin-Smith:Lord’s Conservation Team, contributing insights and experience to our ongoing projects.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Maura is committed to nurturing the next generation of architects. As a part-time visiting tutor at ESALA and with previous teaching positions at ECA and Napier University, she is invested in shaping the future of our profession.
Being a member of the Scottish Ecological Design Association (SEDA) Maura is actively engaged in industry events and lectures, facilitating the sharing of best practices and knowledge.
We are excited to have her on board and look forward to the valuable contributions she will make to our team and projects.
“Maura’s experience in heritage conservation perfectly aligns with our commitment to sustainable design solutions. We’re excited to welcome her and look forward to working together.” Graham Ross, Chief Executive at Austin-Smith:Lord.
