Gold Award for the Calman Cancer Care Centre at Friends of Glasgow West Awards

The Calman Cancer Care Centre (formerly Gartnavel Royal Chapel) was presented with the Gold Award at the Friends of Glasgow West award ceremony on the 22nd November.

The project was seen by the judges to fully combine good conservation practice with true community values giving a new lease of life to a derelict building in the West End Conservation Area in Glasgow.

The award was presented to Austin-Smith:Lord, Cancer Support Scotland and Glasgow Building Preservation Trust. David Millar, Head of Conservation in the Glasgow studio, attended the ceremony.
