Austin-Smith:Lord acted as Executive Architects for the design of this 1200 pupil secondary school in Ffairfach near Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire. Designed to achieve BREEAM Excellent, and an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of ‘A’, environmental sustainability has been a key driver behind the design of the school.

The school includes sports facilities suitable for community use, a SEN provision for autistic pupils and vocational catering facilities that are also utilised by partnering schools in the local area. Clearly identifiable departments, a Learning Resource Centre and a central performance space put education right at the heart of the school.
